How a Chilled Water Dispenser Works

A chilled water dispenser provides a convenient and efficient way to access chilled filtered drinking water. It is healthier than bottled water, more cost effective, and better for the environment as it doesn’t create plastic waste.

Many of our chilled water dispensers come with a built-in filtration system. This helps to reduce impurities, which improves the taste and quality of your drinking water. This can also help to keep your water free from harmful bacteria and contaminants, as well as to remove any chlorine, odour or other chemicals.

In order to work, a water dispenser uses two tanks or reservoirs to store the water it will dispense and a refrigerating system that chills the water before being dispensed. The chilled water is stored in a cold tank and the hot water is usually heated to near-boiling temperatures and then stored in a separate hot tank. Some dispensers have a third tank that can be used to dispense room temperature water or steam.

When you press the dispenser button, gravity allows the water to flow through the nozzle and into your cup. Many of our chilled water dispensers also have an ice maker that can add cubed or crushed ice to your drink. This option can be very useful, especially if you have children or guests that may want iced tea or coffee.

A chilled water dispenser requires regular maintenance and servicing to ensure it runs efficiently and is safe for use. We recommend a service visit every 3 months, which includes a deep clean and decontamination of the machine as well as an inspection of the cooling and heating systems and fan. chilled water dispenser
